If you’ve just failed.
It might seem like the end of the world right now, but the important thing to remember is that more people fail their driving test than pass. Sure, you’ll be gutted to have spent time and money on a failed attempt, but you’re far from alone and you can use all your experience to improve your chances of passing next time. Here are FirstCar’s top tips to get you moving.
#1 – Get Driving Test Ready – FREE!
We’ve built an app that helps you understand the main reasons people fail their driving test, so you don’t have to. Watch 40 minutes of easy to digest film with FirstCar’s presenters Keanan and Harriet, who’ll walk you through the top 10 reasons people fail and how to avoid them. Simply click here to download on an Apple device, or click here to download on Android. Oh, did I mention it’s free?

#2 – Get more private practice
If you’ve not done this already then speak to your parents or a family friend about taking you out to clock up extra road miles before your next test. Insurance is nowhere near as expensive as you may think and the DVSA recommend at least 20 hours of private practice before taking your test to boost your experience and confidence.
